### Summary
About the Position: THIS VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE FILLED TERM NTE 1 YEAR AND 1 DAY, MAY BE EXTENDED UP TO 6 YEARS USING DIRECT-HIRE AUTHORITY FOR DOMESTIC DEFENSE INDUSTRIAL BASE (DIB) FACILITIES AND THE MAJOR RANGE AND TEST FACILITIES BASE (MRTFB) IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE.

### Responsibilities
Fabricate, repair, modify and install a variety of sheet metal items.
Plan and lay out the work by interpreting multiview blueprints, sketches, diagrams or from sample items.
Select or requisition stock materials.
Use complicated shop mathematics and measuring instruments.
Assemble and install sheet metal items and systems or direct lower grade workers in the fabrication.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Sheet Metal Mechanic without more than normal supervision to include duties such as forming single and double hem edges or single and double seams on circular, square, or rectangular articles; using shop equipment such as hand and power brakes and shears and punch presses; and performing body work using filler to patch dents or holes. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
ABILITY TO INTERPRET INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS ETC. (INCLUDING BLUEPRINT READING)
Ability to Use Hand Tools, Power Tools, etc., for Metal Work
Dexterity (Assembly Disassembly Reassembly etc)
Knowledge of Equipment, Structure, Materials, etc. (includes constructing repair, and forging)
Layout and Pattern Development (includes Geometric Projection and Triangulation)
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires prolonged periods of continuous exertion when bending and shaping complex or bulky sheet metal products. Also requires extended periods of standing and walking, climbing, working in cramped and awkward positions, and reaching, lifting, and bending while using hand and power tools. Weight lifted or physical force exerted to form sheet metal may occasionally exceed 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is normally performed in well lighted, heated, and ventilated shop areas. Some outside work is performed usually in periods of good weather. Subject to cuts, bruises, falls and burns. Appropriate safety equipment such as hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, safety goggles, respirators, etc., are required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
