IAP will provide augmentation labor to support the Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) depot maintenance mission at Tobyhanna, PA.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepares surfaces of wheeled tactical vehicles and equipment for painting by approved processes, such as blasting, sanding, masking, taping and applying solvents.
Removes old paint from vehicles using pneumatic sanders and scrapers to ensure surfaces are clean and free of debris.
Ensures surfaces are properly prepped for paint adhesion by using appropriate chemical corrosion techniques to properly treat metal and scuffs the areas to be painted or chemically treated.
Ensures surfaces are properly masked.
After paint application is complete, performs de-masking to remove all material applied to protect unpainted surfaces.
May also perform some stenciling application and touch up.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work in areas that are noisy, dusty, and dirty.
Must be able to work in an environment that is associated with fabricating, sanding, and molding of various types of epoxies and vapors.
May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold, and wind.
Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
Will be required to comply with safety requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment, where applicable.
Must be able to don and wear appropriate respirator devices.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent desirable.
Military Technical training or civilian equivalent desirable.
Minimum of one and a half years of experience required.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the job as defined within the job description.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
