Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to lead or supervise the full range of tasks performed by General Equipment Mechanics. Ability to perform common tasks including:
Obtaining needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that arise; AND working in the sheet metal, painting, and equipment cleaning, electrician and maintenance trades; AND assisting and assigning complex workload to lower graded employees - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below. Your application will be further evaluated to determine if you meet the best qualified cut-off for referral to the selecting official. Works in tiring or uncomfortable positions for long periods of time. Work involves frequent bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and crouching; sometimes works on the top of, and under vehicles in cramped or awkward positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds; often puts forth effort in pushing, pulling, turning and positioning assemblies and equipment. Lifts and moves heavier units with the assistance of other workers and lifting devices such as jacks, hoists and cranes. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed both inside shop area and outside areas. Incumbent is subject to working in extreme cold, and dampness outside. Shop area is heated sod adequately ventilated. Work is dirty, greasy and noisy. Subject to possible injures from hand and machine tools, falling and dropped units, such as strains, sprains, cuts, bruises, burns, and electrical shock, and slipping from works positions. Inside work is usually performed on concrete floors and involves exposure to exhaust, paint and acid fumes. Follows numerous safety procedures and is required to wear protective gloves, ear plugs, goggles, mask, shoes or other safety clothing and equipment appropriate for this position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
