Logistics Management Specialist

US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Minimum Qualifications for GS-12 GS-12 Specialized Experience Statement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes 1) Adaption and interpretation of general and broad logistics management policies, procedures, and regulations; 2) Providing technical and authoritative advice and assistance to defense agencies and private industry; 3) Making formal and informal presentations to all levels of management outlining the history, current status, and objectives of the common logistics program and related supply functions; and 4) Conducting studies to coordinate efforts to advance logistical activities. Time in Grade Requirement for GS-12:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Minimum Qualifications for GS-13 GS-13 Specialized Experience Statement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes 1) Coordinating with other defense agencies and private industry to capture new or changing requirements and ensuring documents are technically accurate and properly staffed; 2) Providing assistance to government agencies and private industry on the application, interpretation and applicability of complex military standards and their requirements; and 3) Revising policies within assigned working groups to ensure interoperability and compatibility with government and non-government agencies; AND 4) Ensuring adequacy of plans and efforts considering such factors as capabilities, support required, and projected plans of the organization to meet logistics needs and commitments. Time in Grade Requirement for GS-13:
