Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic Leader duties scheduling work, ensuring that work orders, schematics, drawings, materials and tools are available, and ensuring that safety and housekeeping rules are followed. I can perform duties involving special tests on electronic control systems for automated industrial equipment such as computer signal generators (UHF, VHF, and microwave) range calibrators, spectrum analyzers, distortion analyzers, digital equipment, oscilloscopes, specialized test sets and electronic control systems for automated industrial equipment. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey level employee who observed tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are completed properly. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Electronics Work is performed primarily at bench with some walking, standing, bending, and stooping required. Required to lift and handle items weighing from 10-40 lbs. and occasionally of heavier weight. Work is performed inside well-lighted, heated and ventilated shop area. May be required to work outside. Subject to injury from handling tools and equipment and to serious burns caused by electrical shock, RF energy, and hot components.
