You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience is defined as one year of progressively responsible intelligence related security experience equivalent to the GG/GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service which includes assisting in analyzing, receiving and responding to, and/or reporting in the area of personnel security to include derogatory information adjudication and evaluation process. OR A Bachelor's Degree that is closely related to the position. Closely Related constitutes a degree which has educated the student in pertinent, specific position-related subject matter allowing the student to develop knowledge and abilities directly applicable to the position being filled such as International Relations, Foreign Area Studies, Political Science, Geography, Foreign Affairs, International Law, History, Economics, Demography, Engineering, Law, Sociology, Psychology, Military Science, Cartography, Social or Cultural Anthropology, and/or Physical or Chemical Science. Transcripts must be submitted with application). OR A Bachelor's Degree that is supplemented by at least 15 semester hours or 22 quarters hours that are closely related to the position. (NOTE:

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
